You have to remember that maintaining your bike can be easy to do as long as you will know what to do. Only when you take good care of your motorcycle will you be able to have a motorcycle that can last for years.
1. Change Your Engine Oil Frequently
What is your engine oil for? You have to remember that this makes sure that your gears and your engine will be properly lubricated. At the same time, you can be sure that your engine will also stay cool while you are using it for a long period of time.
If in case you are not too sure about what you have to do and when you would need to change your oil, what you can do is read the manual that has arrived when you purchased your motorcycle. This usually has details on when you need to change your engine oil.
2. Check out the chain.
You have to remember that incorrect chain tension can result to a variety of different things. For instance, you may have some trouble with your transmission as well as the shifts when changing gears. If you would like to avoid this from happening, you have to make sure that your chain will be well maintained and well adjusted.

3. Keep your brake fluid clean.

4. Give attention to your batteries.
There is a big chance that you may have some problems with your batteries because you are unsure about the other things that you usually maintain. Remember that this is something that you should not overlook because once the battery runs dry; there may be some problems that you will feel in the long run.
Remember that you would have to avoid the buildup of corrosion that may be found inside the batteries especially if you would not maintain it properly. Remember that pumping up batteries will not be possible; you would have to change them whenever you need to.
5. Check out your tires.
There may be instances when you will have some problems with your tires because they will suddenly run out of air or they will not be available for you to use. If you have the right pump for your tires to have the right amount of air, this will not be a problem for you.
If in case your tire keeps running out of air and it runs out of air fast, this means that there might be a hole or a slash on the tire. Try to find it although it will be hard to remedy that even for a temporary period of time. You may have to replace your tire entirely if this happens.
6. You would have to wash your motorcycle when you can.
You might think that as long as you would be able to maintain all the things that are mentioned above, it is okay to neglect the physical appearance of your motorcycle. This is not true at all. What you can do instead is to make sure that you will use it whenever you can.
Make sure that you will keep your motorcycle free from dirt. You may also want to make sure that you will also protect it from heat. Remember that when you keep your motorcycle clean, you can also make sure that your motorcycle will be well maintained because there may be some bolts that have gone missing because of frequent use.
